Welcome to the home page for the July 4th, 2015 session of Æthelmearc Æcademy
in the Shire of Stormsport

Contacts for the event:

Greetings grand citizens of AEthelmearc!

The Shire of Stormsport would like to extend an invitation to you to join us on Saturday, July 4th, for AEthelmearc Spring AEcademy, which we will be combining with Stormsport's Annual Army Muster and TRM's Equestrian Championship Tournament.

There will be classes a-plenty as well as heavy fighting, archery, fencing, thrown weapons, youth combat and equestrian activities.

If you teach a class that is icky, sticky, smelly, noisy, and/or messy, this is the AEcademy for you! Because classes will be held outdoors under covered picnic pavilions or in rented tents, you can make it loud, make it dirty, make it FUN!

The event will be held in Albion PA at the Albion Borough Park /Fairgrounds (no street address but find it by searching for Academy Street in Albion PA 16401 as the park is at the end of the street). The site opens at 9 am and closes at 8pm. The site is handicapped-accessible. Please remember that this is a public park and it will be open to the public.

The sideboard for the day will be a Roman summer banquet with an accompanying AEcademy class.

The fees for the day are $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for youth from 5-17; babes in arms are free. There is a family cap of $40.00. (According to the Kingdom Exchequer Handbook, a "family" is one or two adults plus any number of minor children.) As always there will be a $5.00 non-member surcharge.

Directions from PA – I-90: Take your best route to PA – I-90 exit # 9 (Girard/Platea). Take PA 18 south. Stay on 18 until it merges with 6N west, continue to Academy Street and turn left into park.
Directions from I-79: Take your best route to I-79 exit #166 (Edinboro) – Take Rt 6N West. Stay on 6N West through Albion until you come to Academy St. then turn left into the park.
